In order to restore balance and improve your moods, you must reduce the amount of stress in your life and make time for YOU!
My three basic lifestyle strategies:
- Define Your Personal Boundaries. Stop feeling stressed because people intrude on your personal space. Simply define your boundaries firmly but politely.
- Realign Your Priorities. It isn’t easy to always shuffle work and home, but you must in order to realign your priorities. Begin with a “to do” list and decide what you are going to do today and what you don’t have to do today. It’s okay if you don’t get everything completed on your “to do list”, just begin so prioritizing will become easy.
- Simplify Your Life. Clutter is a distraction that keeps you from focusing on meaningful things and causes stress! Your social calendar is a form of clutter when you allow your social calendar to leave you burned out because you’re consistently entertaining family and friends. Ask yourself if your activities and some family and friends enhance your life or leave you feeling stressed and tired. Once you have your answer, you will know what to do.
